Our security partners are reviewing reports of increased cyberattacks across Russia, Ukraine, the EU, and the UK that are initially thought to be connected to this conflict. We have seen an increase in phishing attacks with suspicious links to websites or links to files being the most common methods of attack. Moreover, the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency expects the pace, severity, and geographic scope of these attacks to increase. User behavior is the most critical element in preventing most cyber-attacks from getting the initial foot hold required to launch an attack on a company. We recommend alerting your users to be particularly careful with email, websites, and shared files. Here are a few things to bear in mind.

STOP, LOOK, and THINK BEFORE…

  • Clicking on a link or opening an attachment.
  • Complying with requests from strangers who prey on your social nature. It is better to be firm than insecure.
  • Clicking on a link in a text message or divulging sensitive information over the phone.

We will continue to update you with essential threat guidance related to this conflict as well as other cybersecurity threats.  You can also contact us to learn how we can help, including WolfCare Security solutions.
