Your backup runs green — until you try to restore

A job that reports “success” isn’t proof of anything. Plenty of teams discover — the hard way — that the one file, server, or database they need never actually restored. A backup you’ve never tested is a hope, not a plan.

Modern ransomware crews specifically hunt for backups and encrypt them before they trigger — because a company that can restore doesn’t pay. Third-party research finds 96% of ransomware attacks now target backup systems, and most succeed. If your copies aren’t immutable and isolated, they go down with everything else.
